With your Jeita Grotto & Byblos Tour from Beirut: A Lebanon Trip tickets, you’ll rediscover some true geological and archaeological treasures! Step out onto the lively streets of Byblos, which is said to be the birthplace of the alphabet. Meander along the city’s ancient streets and visit Byblos Castle, which was built by Christian crusaders in the 1100’s. Nearby, you’ll also encounter Phoenician temples, the Roman Theater, and the Royal necropolis, where the elite were entombed. And finally, peruse the various goods on display at the Old Souq before viewing the baptistery at St. John’s, a Crusader church. Taking a Byblos half-day trip is one of the best things to do in Beirut if you consider yourself a history buff.
