First stop is the world famous Forbidden City, a must for all visitors. Forbidden City, also known as the Imperial Palace Museum boasts of a vast stunning area spanning over 180 acres with arange of great halls. Antiques and treasures stock the hallways as you walk through China's history on this incredible guided experience. After a tour of the Forbidden City, your expert guide will escort you onward on a VIP tour for an exclusive look at the Treasure Gallery and Clock Exhibition Hall.
Treasure Gallery consists of three exhibition halls, the Hall of Spiritual Cultivation, the Hall of Joyful Longevity, and the Belvedere of Well-Nourished Harmony. These halls were once the living quarters for the Imperial Regent and also the court room consorts and concubines. The magnificence and sheer opulence of the Treasure Gallery is sure to amaze, as the halls are decked in precious gems and metals such as gold, silver, pearls and jade.
As you are guided further, witness the Clocks and Watches Exhibition Hall in Forbidden City which houses about 200 clocks and watches from the imperial collection. Behold the Chime Clock, crafted to perfection by the royal clockmakers of the Qing Dynasty, as well as the 6-metre high water clock made in 1799, the largest clock in China.
After the special tour of the ins and outs of Forbidden City, your expert guide leads you to Jingshan Hill, the highest point in Beijing city. Built in the Liao and Jindynasties, Jingshan has a rich history of almost one thousand years.
