A Beijing or Peking Roast Duck dinner is one of the most classical and traditional dishes from Beijing and an absolute must-do for every visitor to the city. You’ll discover the culinary secrets in carving the duck and eating it ‘Beijing style’.
The delicious dinner will be followed by an exotic Chinese acrobatics show. With a long history of over 2000 years, it is one of the most popular art forms among the locals. The evening promises a sparkling performance filled with colourful costumes and excitement.
You’ll be taken to one of the leading restaurants for your Peking roast duck dinner. The chef will present before you the whole duck, inviting you to eat it ‘Beijing style’. The chef will proceed to carve the duck in front of you into about one hundred and twenty pieces. The duck is served together with special pancakes, hollowed sesame bun, green onions and sweet sauce. You will be taught to wrap duck slices, onion, and sauce in a pancake or a sesame bun with your bare hands.
Your delicious dinner will be followed by a Chinese acrobatics show. Enjoy a fantastic evening watching the skilled entertainers perform the most bewildering stunts. The program often features trick cycling, leaping through hoops and traditional Chinese magic tricks.
At the end of a wonderful evening, you will be dropped back at your hotel in Beijing.
