Suitable for all riders, this easy bicycle tour takes you to the lush greens and lazy back roads of Chiang Mai. Wander through Wiang Khum Kham, an ancient city from the 13th century that was only excavated in the 80s. Tuck into the traditional meal that you learned to cook with fresh ingredients from the local market.
Depart from your hotel for a day of leisurely sightseeing of Chiang Mai along the banks of the Ping River on board your bicycle! Dive into Thai culture and do as the locals do as you traverse through markets, temples and serene back roads. Learn all about the importance of Buddhism in Thai culture as you zip through the streets with your knowledgeable guide.
As you ride further, behold the pristine white buildings built in colonial style that are complete with a church and a hospital on a manicured ground. Admire the beautiful teak houses and wave to fishermen as you enter the grassy parklands to partake in refreshing drinks and fruits.
Head next to the ancient city of Wiang Khum Kham which dates back to the 13th century! Excavated only in the 80s, visit the ancient temple which has a spirit house where a former king’s spirit is said to reside. As you make your way through Chiang Mai's old city through Tha Pae Gate, take a break at Somphet market and have a look at the local fresh herbs that make Thai food so delicious.
Enjoy tips and tricks on how to choose the best of each ingredient as you get in the cooking groove. Take the chance to sample some fresh produce along the way before continuing to the cooking school where your friendly chef deconstructs Thai cooking and lets you prepare a traditional meal!
