Standing tall on a rocky outcrop, the remains of this ancient wonder dating back to the fourth millennium BC is sure to take your breath away. Grecian Glories: Full Day Private Tour of the Ancient City of Delphi and Apollo Temple

A trip to Greece is incomplete without a visit to this venerated sanctuary of the ancient world, Delphi. Driving across the stunning plains of Boeotia right up to the foot of Mt. Parnassus, the trail also crosses the ancient city of Theva, the birthplace of King Oedipus Rex. We will also make a quick stop for rest outside the scenic town of Livadeia.

Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Delphi was home to the legendary Oracle of Greece and was a city with huge religious and political importance. Take your time to explore the numerous ruins dotting the Castalian Spring including the monument of the Argive kings, the majestic Athenian Treasury, the ancient portico of the Athenian Stoa, the intriguing Polygonal Wall, and of course, the highly revered Temple of Apollo.

We will then move on to the fascinating Delphi Museum where you can catch sight of some fantastic artefacts like the Naxian Sphinx, a frieze of the Siphnian Treasury, the statue of Antinous who was a beloved of the Roman emperor Hadrian and the famous bronze sculpture of Heniokhos, the Charioteer of Delphi. Revel in engrossing anecdotes of the Classical Era as you are transported back to the highly celebrated society of Ancient Greece and to a city that was believed to be the centre of the world. Our first stop post lunch is the spectacular Sanctuary of Athena Pronaia, post which we will head to the picturesque village of Arachova where you can indulge in a serene stroll along this panoramic locale!

Historical Panoramas: Half Day Private Tour of Cape Sounion and Temple of Poseidon

This leisurely ride to the stunning Cape Sounion is dotted with spectacular panoramas of the Saronic Gulf and some of the prettiest suburbs of Athens, including Glyfada, Vouliagmeni, and Varkiza. Cape Sounion, located at the southern tip of the Attica Peninsula, is breath taking with its gorgeous limestone cliffs and a pristine blue sea. Steeped in the enigma of thousands of years of history, the biggest highlight of Cape Sounion is definitely the ruins of the Temple of Poseidon, dating back to the 5th century BC. The ethereal beauty of the still standing Doric columns has inspired romantics for centuries, including poets like Lord Byron, and why not - the majestic presence of these glistening marble columns and well as the fact that the place is a perfect vantage point for astonishing sunsets, makes it a truly iconic location!

The Terrific Three: Mesmerising Cruise to Poros - Hydra - Aegina from Athens with Buffet Lunch

A fabulous visual trail with a sprinkling of Classical Era history as well as mythology, this tour starts with us heading to the Trocadero Port to embark on a motor boat which will take you on a scenic sail across the Aegean Sea, landing first at the picturesque Poros Island. Take your time to ramble around this stunning island and indulge in a little shopping, as you sink into the magnetic Greek weather.

Our next stop is a popular Athenian summer getaway, the colourful island of Hydra. Namesake of the mythical serpentine monster in Greek as well as Roman mythologies, the island is far removed from the gruesome imagery of the legends and is instead an unforgettable panorama of natural beauty - a picture perfect setting of an infectious recreational energy and pristine white beaches.
Our final halt for the day is the splendid Aegina Island, part of the “holy triangle” of antiquity in Greece - it’s majestic Temple of Aphaia forming an equilateral triangle with the Parthenon and the Temple of Poseidon. Home to gorgeous neoclassical mansions and spectacular beaches, Aegina is one of the most popular getaways from Athens. But hold on your hats as a delectable buffet lunch of Greek delights as well as an exquisite folklore performance of traditional music and dance awaits you on board our cruise! It’s just the break you need from the hectic sightseeing tours of your vacations!
