A trip to the Holy Lands isn’t complete without a visit to Caesarea National Park to see the Roman and Crusader ruins. This tour, takes you to one of the most intriguing archaeological sites in the Middle East, Caesarea National Park, located alongside the Mediterranean Sea.
Continue via Nahariya to the gleaming white cliffs of Rosh Hanikra to see the border with Lebanon. Explore the Rosh Hanikra Grottos, which are cavernous tunnels formed by sea action on the soft chalk rock. Hold your breath as you board the cable-car for a two-minute ride down the 210-foot cliff.
Return along the Mediterranean to Acre to visit the Crusader underground city and walk through the old city to see the Arab Mosques of the city, Oriental market and old port.
You will be picked up from your hotel in Tel Aviv in an air-conditioned coach and taken for an Excursion to the Coastal Wonders: Caesarea, Haifa, Acre and Rosh Hanikra. A bilingual guide (English and Spanish/French/German) will accompany you on this tour.
Drive via the coastal highway (30min) to Caesarea to visit the National Park and see the Roman and Crusader ruins. You will spend about 1.5 hours here. Arched storehouses built by King Herod are quire well-preserved. Worth spending time over is the still intact Crusader Wall and the earliest theater in Israel.
Continue on through Haifa (40min) to enjoy the panoramic view of Haifa Bay (30min).
Proceed via Nahariya to Rosh Hanikra (45min) to see the border with Lebanon. Enjoy a ride on a cable car as you descend into the Rosh Hanikra Grottos (1.15hours). Walk through the artificial tunnels and view caverns carved out by the pounding waves of the Mediterranean.
The tour will break for a 45-minute lunch (payable direct).
Return along the Mediterranean Sea to Acre (35min) to visit the Crusader underground city. Walk through the old city to see the Arab mosques of the city, oriental market places and the old port (1.5 hours).
