Experience one of Santorini’s most iconic moments with a relaxing sunset cruise along the island’s breathtaking caldera. Sail aboard a traditional wooden caique and enjoy a memorable evening at sea, combining scenic views, unique stops, and the famous Santorini sunset.
What to Expect
Your excursion begins with a transfer from designated meeting points in Oia, Fira, Kamari, or Perissa to Athinios Port. All cruises depart at 16:30 and follow two slightly different weekly itineraries:
Tuesday, Thursday & Sunday – Sunset Cruise with Dinner
Departure from Athinios Port at 16:30
Volcano and caldera sailing
Swimming stop at the Hot Springs
Dinner on Thirassia Island (includes wine and water)
Sunset viewing from the boat
Return after sunset
Monday, Wednesday, Friday & Saturday – Classic Sunset Cruise
Departure from Athinios Port at 16:30
Visit to the Volcano (entrance fee not included, payable locally)
Swimming stop at the Hot Springs
Caldera sailing
Sunset viewing from the boat
Return after sunset
Special Event Notice
The famous “Volcano Eruption” spectacle is part of the annual Ifestia Festival and takes place only once per year.
For 2026, the event is scheduled for 19 September 2026.
