South Sea Island is great place for scuba. Introductory diving is a particular focus with crystal clear water, pretty reef formations and plentiful fish, making it a first-time diver's dream. See beautiful fan corals, nudibranchs, and a host of jewel-colored fish, not to mention giant clams. You may even find Nemo!
Everything is done to make your day on South Sea one of the best ever. A sumptuous barbecue and salad lunch are provided along with unlimited drinks. Lots of water sports activities – such as snorkelling, sailing, kayaking – are available after you finish your dive. Or you could just bliss out on the beautiful beach.
Whether it's your first-ever dive or you're a more experienced certified diver, South Sea Island offers a fabulous underwater experience.
Book on the wonderful South Sea Island - Discover Scuba Intro Dive experience and learn the great sport of scuba diving. At the start of the trip, you will be picked up from your Nadi/Denarau Resort Hotel and taken to Denarau Marina (Port Denarau). Here you will board your high-speed catamaran for the 30-minute journey to South Sea Island.
With calm, clear waters and abundant sea life, South Sea Island is the perfect place to learn scuba. Your instructor will start you off in the swimming pool. Once you have mastered the basics, you can explore the stunning coral gardens on your first ever 'Discover Scuba' intro dive.
Fiji has been called "The Soft Coral Capital of the World". When the current flows, corals bloom into glorious displays of vibrant color. The currents also increase visibility, with incoming currents bringing clear sea water into the lagoons and outgoing currents removing any cloudy lagoon water.
As well as being ideal for novices, South Sea Island also offers plenty to keep certified divers amused, with several beach dives and a purposefully sunk 'Viking' shipwreck. Diving in this area you would expect to encounter large drop-offs and wall dives with lots of hard corals, crystal clear water and large schools of pelagic fish.
As well as learning to dive, there is lots more to do on South Sea Island, for example snorkelling, sailing, kayaking, or just lazing on the beach. (A massage is also available at extra cost.)
A tasty barbecue and salad lunch is included in the package and complimentary beer, wine and soft drinks are provided whilst you are on the island. During lunch time (except on Sundays) you will have the chance to watch a traditional Fijian ‘Meke’ – a song and dance performance.
At the end of the day, you will be dropped at Denarau Marina and then taken back to your hotel in Nadi or Denarau. Transfers are also available from Denarau back to Coral Coast. These depart at 6:00pm and must be booked in advance.
Please call the activity operator at least 24 hours prior to start of the tour for reconfirming departure details.
Fuel Surcharge (in FJ$) will be collected upon check in for all departures from Denarau.
The confirmation voucher includes the local activity operator’s contact details and local telephone numbers at the destination. They will happily answer any logistical questions you may have.
Coral Coast transfer departs at 1800h (6:00pm) from Port Denarau. Advance booking is a must.
