Journey along the path less traveled as you explore Bolivia’s rich cultural heritage against the backdrop of the 6000-meter high Andes mountain ranges.

This tour takes you across the haunting Altiplano (high plateau ranges) with spectacular views of Andean fields and small mud houses. Puerto Perez is a small village on the shores of the magnificent Lake Titicaca and was established by the English for the Lake Titicaca steamship service. From here set out on an exhilarating cruise along the sapphire blue waters of Lake Titicaca, the ‘highest navigable lake in the world’. Legends and mystique surround this lake, sacred to the Aymara Indians and the Inca civilization.

The ancient islands of Pariti and Kalahuta along the shores of Titicaca are rich in archaeological treasures. Wander around remnants of stone houses, walls and terraces.

This tour is a fascinating insight into present-day Andean lifestyles.

  • You will be picked up from your hotel and taken in a private vehicle for a guided sightseeing tour to Puerto Perez, Lake Titicaca and island of Pariti. Set out on a panoramic drive through the Bolivian Highland and along the Andean mountain range with its snow-capped summits at altitudes of 6000 metres. Enjoy a magnificent view over the Andean fields and small mud houses along the way to Puerto Perez, your first halt. Situated about 70 kilometers from La Paz, Puerto Perez is a village built by the British railway company in the early 1900s for the Lake Titicaca steamship service. Board a boat and set out for a cruise on Lake Titicaca to the island of Pariti. The island is famous for its beautiful ceramic pottery which is displayed at the ceramic museum. Meet the Indian community which still lives on agriculture, fishing and boat building. Cruise again stopping at the Kalahuta archaeological site, lying along one of the most beautiful bays of Titicaca Lake. See its stone houses, tombs, walls and terraces. Return to Puerto Perez and get transferred back to La Paz. Your tour ends with a drop-off at your hotel in La Paz.
