The journey from La Paz follows a steep ride while the last 200 meter leg of the trip flows a track that is generally covered by snow or ice. The summit offers one of the most stunning views of the Andean mountain range and Bolivia’s fabulous landscape. Get some great photographs of the city of La Paz, the three peaked Illimani Mountain and the 6088 meter high Mount Huayna Potosi.

You will be picked up from your hotel and taken in a private vehicle for a guided tour to the Chacaltaya Mountain.
Depart La Paz and follow a steep two-hour ride to Chacaltaya. The vehicle will take you to an altitude of 5,300m which is where the ski station is based. The last 200 metres to reach the summit is generally covered by snow or ice. On reaching the summit at 5,500 metres above sea level, you can feast your eyes on a 360 degree panorama of the mountains, altiplano and the cloud forest. You can also see La Paz city and the 6050 metres high Mount Huayna Potosi.
At the end of the tour, you will be dropped back at your hotel in La Paz.
