The monumental sculpture group is the work of the famous national artist Edgardo Castrillo, which is worth a visit.
Yap-San Diego Ancestral House: If you like architecture and pre-Hispanic design, this is the site of the Cebu heritage site and the oldest street where you will find some of the oldest artifacts and antique furniture.

In 1521, the Portuguese navigator Magellan preached Catholicism in Cebu, on April 14th, when Father Pedro Valderama was held for the first group of Filipino Catholics, the indigenous patriarch Rajah Humabon, his wife Queen Juana and 400 other indigenous people. To commemorate this grand religious ceremony, Magellan erected a cross in Cebu.
The Church of the Holy Child: Next on the itinerary is a visit to The Church of the Holy Child is the oldest church in the country. It was built in 1565 and is known as the “Infant Image”. It is said that after the Aboriginal patriarch Rajah Humabon and his wife Queen Juana were baptized, Magellan presented a black-skinned "Santa Baby" to Queen Juana as a gift. See the home of the image of Jesus as a child at Basilica Minore of the Christ Child and then make your way to Fort San Pedro, a coral stone fortress originating from the original wooden structure built on the site in 1565. As protection to the city, it became the first Spanish settlement in Asia. The informative tour continues to a wonderful museum Casa Gorordo on Plaza Parian via the country´s oldest street (Colon Street). This museum showcases the elegant lifestyle of the Spanish/Filipino elite of the 18th century.
