Drive to the Greek port of Piraeus. En route pass the port of Zeas, where you can marvel at the luxury yachts which are docked there. Stop at the picturesque small harbour of Mikrolimano, lined with cafes, restaurants and bars. Enjoy a drink of ouzo served with Greek appetizers (payable direct).
At Piraeus, you will enjoy spectacular views of the shimmering Aegean Sea and witness the hustle and bustle of the narrow streets of the harbour. Drive along the principal avenues and passing by the Temple of Olympian Zeus, the National Garden, the Parliament, and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, the Catholic Cathedral, the Academy, the University, the National Library and the Old Parliament.
Arrive in Plaka, the oldest section in Athens lined with restaurants, tourist shops, and cafes. Take a short walk through this old and unique quarter of Athens to one of the popular taverns for dinner to the accompaniment of live bouzouki music and Greek folk dances.
