Enjoy Aqaba at a relaxed pace on this sightseeing tour
You will be picked up from your hotel in a private air-conditioned deluxe car/mini van and taken on a city sightseeing tour of Aqaba.
The highlights of your tour are:
The Aqaba Castle and Museum: The Aqaba Castle, also known as Mamluk Fort, was was rebuilt in 1587 AD under one of the last Mamluk Sultans, and it has been substantially altered several times since then. The Aqaba Museum lies adjacent to Aqaba Castle and houses an important collection of the Islamic periods from the mid-seventh to the beginning of the twelfth century AD.
The Aqaba Aquarium: This is part of the Marine Science Station Complex, and has more than 30 species of stony and soft corals, 30 different invertebrates and about 45 species of reef fish. A simulation of coral reef in the Gulf of Aqaba has been created in a roofless concrete tank.
Downtown area: Proceed to explore the down-town area of Aqaba with its excellent restaurants and cafes.
At the end of your tour, you will be dropped back at your hotel in Aqaba.
