Itinerary

See another side of the Belgian capital on the Brussels Mysteries and Legends Walking Tour.

To join the excursion make your way to the Godiva chocolate store, Grand Place 22, 1000 Brussels, where you will meet your escort.

During this half-day tour you will explore mystical, magical, surreal and esoteric aspects of Brussels related to the Freemasons, Templars and Illuminati.

Before leaving the Grand Place your guide will point out some intriguing features of this famous Brussels piazza. Why is it built this way? What does the figure 7 mean here?

Find the missing Zodiac sign on a building, and explore the history of the Freemasons in Brussels. Freemasonry was particularly important in the city in the 18th century, with Masons frequently coming from noble families. Visit the grave of a Freemason at St Michael Cathedral, and look for Masonic symbols in the colorful church windows.

The tour then takes you uptown and into a park near the former Royal Palace of Coudenberg. Here you will find more signs, and can decipher the secret meanings of inscriptions with the help of your guide. Learn about the hidden city below the Palace, and hear about the founder of the Templars, Godfried of Bouillion.

The last stop on your tour is the bar where René Magritte, a famous Flemish painter, got his ideas and discussed his vision of art. Your walk will have given you an appetite, so sit back and enjoy a drink.

You should also prepare for a special surprise. This excursion includes some real magic… all will be revealed on the day!
