The Casa Batlló will come to life as you explore the interiors with an augmented reality video guide. The chameleon-like Casa Batlló is not a mere emblematic house, but a magnum opus boasting distinct mysterious patterns and mesmerising intricate detailing. . Your 45-minute video guide will tell as well as show how Antoni Gaudi’s imagination knew no bounds while constructing the building.
Famously referred by locals as Casa dels Ossos meaning House of Bones, the building bears an animalesque appearance. Gaudí considered every detail of his creation and exquisitely integrated ceramics, stained glass, wrought iron and woods into this piece. He also introduced new exotic mosaic techniques in the treatment of materials, such as trencadís which utilised wasted ceramic and incorporated it into the design.
The house boasts stained glass windows along with intricate bannisters and liberating skylights, offering great views over the upscale Passeig de Gracia.
