Itinerary

You will be picked up from your hotel and taken for this private sightseeing tour in an air conditioned vehicle, as per your convenience. Your driver is your multilingual guide for this tour.

Drive past the hunting Castle Hellbrunn and cross the Austrian-Bavarian border. Drive along the Königseeache valley, through the Bavarian mountains, past romantic farmhouses and the ruins of Obersalzberg - Hitler's former mountain retreat. Arrive at the 500-year-old saltmines in the Bavarian Alps.

Wearing traditional miners' clothing, enter the mines and hear the historical as well as the legendary tales of the fascinating underground world. Using the same slides, as hundreds of miners before you, go down a 100-foot-long slide into the grottos, the magical world beneath the surface of the earth.

Enjoy a raft ride on the salt lake and a miniature train ride and then proceed to Berchtesgaden.

Arrive at Berchtesgaden and regain your strength with some Bavarian specialities. See Hitler's Eagle's Nest, a mountain top lodge built by the Nazis. Located at 6,148 feet (1,834 meters) on top of Mt Kehlstein, the lodge offers some of the most amazing views of the Alps.

From here, drive back to Salzburg, where you will be dropped back to your hotel.
