Combine the fun of seeing celebrity homes with a visit to one of the world’s most beautiful art museums.

Start the day by touring the most exclusive neighborhoods of glamorous Hollywood and see the opulent mansions of movie stars past and present.

Cruise Sunset Strip with its legendary boutiques, restaurants, rock clubs and night clubs. Go down Rodeo Drive where the stars go shopping.

Then visit the J. Paul Getty Museum in the Santa Monica Hills to see one of the world's finest collections of Western art in a stunningly beautiful setting.

Be entranced by exquisite pavilions clad in brilliant white Italian marble, the idyllic gardens and the spectacular views. Tour the glorious array of furniture, sculpture, decorative art and photographs. Enjoy the superb collection of Impressionist paintings.

At the start of your trip you will be picked up from your hotel in an air-conditioned coach. An English-speaking guide will accompany you.

Your fully narrated 2-hour tour takes you past more than 40 breath-taking mansions in glamorous Beverly Hills and Bel Air.

Star homes you are likely to see include those of Tom Cruise, Ozzie Osbourne, Madonna, Jackie Chan, Nicolas Cage, Dr. Phil, Sean Connery, Angelina Jolie, George Marciano (best known as the founder of ‘Guess’ Clothing line), Peter Falk, and Bob Barker.

You may also pass the former estates of such legends as Elvis Presley, Marilyn Monroe, Frank Sinatra, Lucille Ball, Gregory Peck, Jack Benny, Judy Garland, Humphrey Bogart, Lauren Bacall, and see some of your favorite TV and movie locations.

On the way, you'll cruise the Sunset Strip, the 1½ mile stretch of Sunset Boulevard that passes through West Hollywood and is lined with boutiques, restaurants, rock clubs and night clubs.

You will be driven along the world famous Rodeo Drive where the rich and famous do their shopping. Stores here include Bijan, Gucci, Prada, Harry Winston Jewelers, and the Regent Beverly Wilshire Hotel featured in “Pretty Woman.

At the end of the celebrity homes tour, you will be dropped at the J. Paul Getty Museum, perched on a hillside in the Santa Monica mountains. Here, in a set of stunning post-modern buildings, is a vast collection of Western art from the Middle Ages to the present. (There is no charge for entry to the museum.)

This treasure trove includes many Impressionist paintings, exquisite French furniture and decorative arts, fine illuminated manuscripts, contemporary photography, and European drawings.

The Impressionist paintings include works by Cezanne, Monet, Van Gogh, Gauguin and Degas. The most famous and visited of these is the celebrated 'Irises' by Vincent Van Gogh.

Your Getty Museum tour is self-guided and, to make the most of your visit, it is probably a good idea to pick up the brochure What to See at the information desk. It is also helpful to start your visit with the orientation film.

You have 5 ½ hours to spend at the museum on this trip so you will have plenty of time to admire the entrancing architecture, the views and the tranquil gardens at this superb cultural venue.

When you are hungry there are excellent restaurants and cafes in the complex (meals are not included in your ticket).

At the end of your Getty Museum visit, your coach will pick you up and drop you off back at your hotel.

  • Stars' Home Tour is a hoot!

We combined the Stars' Homes Tour with a Getty Museum entry (well worth a visit for art and architecture buffs). Great fun and a "must do" in LA...
