Enjoy a thorough tour of Nevada’s oldest state park, admiring the petrified sand dunes from atop Rainbow Vista and the ancient petroglyphs at Atatl Rock, where the hopes and fears of early man are still vivid.

Learn from your tour guide about the Native American peoples that have inhabited this vibrant and unforgiving stretch of the Mojave Desert down through history.

Itinerary

You will be will be picked up from your Las Vegas hotel by air-conditioned vehicle and taken to your luxury Tour Trekkers (4-wheel drive vehicle), to kick off this Valley of Fire Tour. You will be accompanied by a knowledgeable English-speaking guide.

The Valley of Fire is only a 50-mile drive from Las Vegas, and the trip will fly by as you sink into the plush leather seats of your Jeep and look out the extra large viewing windows at Nevada’s harsh and haunting desert landscapes

Arrive at the Valley of Fire, named for its flame-red rock formations that sprawl out over more than 34,000 acres of the Mojave Desert.

The Rainbow Vista looks out over the park’s petrified sand dunes, which are more than 150 million years old.

See the ancient petroglyps on Atlatl Rock left by the prehistoric Pueblo people and snap a picture of the jagged peaks of Fire Canyon, which looks as if it forced itself up from the earth.

Throughout your tour, your guide will fill you in on the many Native American cultures that have called this cruel and beautiful land their home down through the ages.

You will be treated to a box lunch with choice of ham, turkey or vegetarian sandwich, potato chips, cookies and bottled water.

You will be dropped back at your Las Vegas hotel at tour’s end.
