For the Grand Canyon South Rim Coach Tour & Free Show Ticket, you will be picked up from your hotel in Las Vegas in a comfortable, deluxe air-conditioned coach and will be driven to Hoover Dam, crossing the Hoover Dam Bypass Bridge from where you will get a glimpse of the dam and Lake Mead.
Commissioned in 1935 by the then United States’ president Franklin D. Roosevelt, Hoover Dam is one of the world’s tallest dams. Thousands of workers were involved in the construction of the dam, which was mainly built for irrigation in the hottest area of United States. The dam seizes Lake Mead, the largest reservoir in the US in terms of volume.
From Hoover Dam, your next stop will be Kingman in Arizona for a short break. From Kingman you will travel to Williams, home to the Grand Canyon Railway, a passenger railroad which operates between Williams and the Grand Canyon National Park South Rim. Here you will have time for your free buffet lunch. You can also browse through the gift shop and or the railway museum at the depot.
Next, the coach will take you to the major attraction of the tour – The Grand Canyon National Park South Rim. A UNESCO World Heritage site and considered one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World, it was named as an official national park in 1919. It’s an endless expanse of layers of rocks of different colors which recede down to form an indomitable gorge. The sites presented by the different viewpoints of the rim drastically transform from dawn to dusk.
During your visit to the national park, you will stop at the state of the art Visitor's Center, Mather Point (the deepest part of the canyon), Yavapai Point (the widest part of the canyon), and Bright Angel Point (the most panoramic). You will also get additional free time to browse the Grand Canyon Historic Village district area.
After spending ample quality time at the national park, the bus will make a return trip to Las Vegas and reach there at approximately 8:45pm. The tour does not get over with this. This exclusive package also includes a ticket to either of the two most entertaining shows in Las Vegas – Rat Pack Is Back and MJ Live Show
