On the day tour, there are 21 locations where you can get off the bus to visit attractions or explore places of interest.
Some of the major highlights along this route are:
The Jumeirah Mosque: Built in Egyptian style, the Jumeirah Mosque is one of the most attractive mosques in Dubai. It is the only mosque in Dubai open for Non-Muslims and guides assigned by the Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding give useful information about the place and the Islamic culture.
Al Fahidi Fort and Dubai Museum: Believed to be Dubai’s oldest fort, it is home to the Dubai museum. It has walls built from coral and shell cemented together with lime. It was built to defend Dubai’s early community from warlike neighbouring tribes. You can enrich your knowledge about the fort and the history of the city with a visit to the museum. This tour gives you a free entry to the museum.
The Gold Souk: One of the best places to buy gold jewellery, the Gold Souk has over 200 jewellery stores lined with ornaments made in 18, 22, and 24 carat gold.
Sheikh Saeed Al Maktoum's House: The official residence of Sheikh Saeed Al Maktoum, Ruler of Dubai and grandfather of the present Ruler, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. It is one of the oldest buildings in the city and houses a rare collection of historic photographs, coins, stamps and documents that record Dubai’s history.
During the course of the tour, you will also board a traditional wooden dhow for an unforgettable trip along Dubai Creek, complementary water taxi ride and your personal Big Bus Reward Booklet with many offers at participating retail and F&B outlets.
For the Night Tour, you can board the bus from any of the five locations - Deira City Centre, Burjuman, Dubai Mall, Mall of the Emirates or Souk Madinat. It is a one round 2.45 hour tour of Dubai with a live commentary from a qualified English speaking guide who will point out the highlights of this sparkling city.
You will see the striking Deira City Centre, the magnificent Raffles Hotel enroute to Sheikh Zayed Road, part of the longest highway in United Arab Emirates with 16 lanes of parallel traffic, all illuminated by the evening lights.
Continue past the majestic sail-shaped Burj al Arab hotel and then hold your gaze across the coastline to the sparkling Palm Jumeirah – a man-made archipelago which looks like palm tree. During the course of the tour, your guide will entertain you with commentary about the city’s culture, history and how it transformed from a fishing village to a lively city.
The bus will also take you to the skyscraper city, which consists of Dubai Marina region with its ritzy yachts and Jumeirah Lake Towers.
Before your tour ends at Wafi City, an Egyptian looking mall complex where you will enjoy a 15 minute light and sound show (included in the price), the bus will take a detour past the world’s largest tower, the Burj Khalifa, fully illuminated against the dark sky.
