Deep in the heart of the 12 million sq. ft Dubai Mall lies the world’s most spectacular underwater enclosure to date. Home to 33,000 marine animals from more than 200 species, the Dubai Aquarium is easily one of the city’s biggest draw cards, and with such a diverse program and an impressive, Instagram-worthy design, it’s easy to see why. The world’s largest fish bowl is ideal for little ones and adults alike, with glass-bottom boat rides, a tunnel walkthrough, and interactive exhibitions giving visitors their closest-ever contact with life under the sea. Shark cage and scuba diving satisfy even the most adventurous of spirits, while those looking to dip their toes in the underwater world will find snorkelling the perfect experience.

  • Our tips for Dubai Aquarium

    Our tips for Dubai Aquarium
    • Don’t flash. Photography in the aquarium is permitted; however, keep an eye out for the ‘no flash photography’ signs and be sure to adjust your camera settings accordingly, as sudden flashes can harm the animals.
    • Get with the program. A heap of free exhibitions and shows run every day at the aquarium. Ask a staff member for the schedule so you don’t miss out on any presentations. Dinnertime for the sharks and stingrays are definitely never dull.
    • Take a tour. Behind-the-scenes tours of the Dubai Aquarium are available to guests who book in advance. Explore the exclusive, lesser-known parts of the aquarium with an expert educator in tow – we promise you won’t be disappointed.

Best Time To Visit The Dubai Aquarium remains busy year-round, but in the early mornings, visitors often find they have the aquarium virtually to themselves. Beat the crowds and head to the aquarium on Friday morning from 8.00-10.00am for the most serene of underwater experiences.
Getting There Smack bang in the middle of the Dubai Mall, most tourists find their way to the aquarium quite easily. If you’re travelling by metro, alight at the nearby Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall metro station. Plenty of taxi ranks and parking facilities at the nearby Dubai Mall make travelling by car a viable option too.
Money Saving Tips Viewing the Dubai Aquarium is thankfully free of charge. However, for the full Dubai Aquarium experience, you’ll need to purchase entrance tickets. The aquarium offers seasonal discounts in certain quieter times of year, so be sure to visit their website and check for deals before booking.
