This tour is your chance to experience a fantastic natural spectacle - Rhine Falls, Europe’s biggest waterfall. The powerful play of huge masses of water thundering down, with the spray arching up in a rainbow above the forested banks, is truly a sight to behold. For a close up view, you have the option of taking a boat-ride near the falls.

You could also take the path that begins from the medieval castle ‘Schloss Laufen’, down alongside the splashing water onto the lookout point for a breathtaking contact with the falls. There are a few souvenir shops and restaurants in the area, where you can relax with a cup of coffee.

Itinerary

You have the option to get picked up in an air-conditioned coach from the Zurich Airport (Meeting point: 1st floor, between terminal 1 and 2) or start the tour from the bus parking near Zurich Main Train Station (Stop: Sihlquai, Streetcar: 4, 13). Accompanied by a multi-lingual guide speaking English, Spanish and German, you will be taken to the Rhine Falls, Europe’s biggest waterfall.

To visit the Rhine Falls, you will be taken to Northern Switzerland close to the German border. Drive through Schaffhausen, capital of the canton under the same name with its famous Munot Fortress from the 16th century. On the way to the falls we will pass through some small, typical winegrowers villages located in the important Wine-Region of Northern Switzerland. Rhine Falls are about 23 metres in height and 150 metres in breadth, popular more for its impressive breadth than height. You could take a boat ride near the falls and experience it up close (optional).

This tour starts from the bus parking near Zurich Main Train Station at 0915h (Stop: Sihlquai, Streetcar: 4, 13) or Zurich Airport at 0930h (Meeting point: The departure point located at the Departure Floor (1. floor - upstairs of the arrival hall!) between Terminal 1 and 2 (closer to terminal 2) outside.).

Passport is mandatory to book the Rhine Falls Tour. We will check passports when clients board the bus.

This tour requires a minimum of 5 passengers to operate. There is a possibility that this tour may be cancelled after confirmation if minimum numbers are not met. Should this be necessary you will be offered an alternate departure date or a full refund.
For this tour we also have a drop-off at the airport for departing pax.
Only until the end of October there is a free drop off at Zurich Airport. You will arrive with your luggage at 12.15 PM at Zurich airport.
