Alhambra: Granada's best-known attraction is the Alhambra Palace, also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Alhambra Palace, locally referred to as just the Alhambra, overlooks the city of Granada. It stands out as the most famous example of Moorish architecture in Spain, and also perhaps the best-known Muslim construction. The Alhambra consists of three parts: The Royal Palace, the Gardens of Generalife and the fortress of Alcazaba.
Gardens of Generalife: Considered to be among the most beautiful in the world, like the Alhambra these gardens are a well-established UNESCO World Heritage Site. The gardens, created in the early 14th century, have maintained their original shape, bordering the Alhambra. Once a summer residence for the king, the word "generalife," meaning "garden of paradise" truly describes this collection of water springs, gardens, and architectural beauty.
Alcazaba: The Alcazaba is an impressive military fortress, dating back to the 9th century. It is the oldest part of the Alhambra and is reconstructed upon the ruins of a castle.
After the visit to the Alhambra there will be free time for afternoon tea (at own expense). After a splendid journey through the past you will return back to Seville.
