To join the Cape Town Hidden Gems Walking Tour you should make your way to District Six Museum to meet your expert local guide.Please try to arrive at least 15 minutes before the starting time of 0930h (09:30 am).

The adventure with an exploration of the V&A Waterfront.You then jump in a taxi for a trip to the colourful Bo-Kaap area. Formerly known as the Malay Quarter, this district dates from South Africa’s slave era, when the Dutch brought slaves from Asia to work in the city.Today, it is famous for its brightly colored buildings, cobbled streets and rich cultural diversity.

Drop into the Bo-Kaap Museum, located in the area’s oldest house, to learn more about the history of the district and to discover the cultural contribution made by early Muslim settlers.

Stop at a spice shop to discover the rich array of products on offer, and try one of the street food snacks, such as tasty samosas or spicy kebabs.

Take a walk down Long Street, with its restaurants, bars and clubs, and get the insider’s scoop on the best places to return to once the sun has set.

Continue through the Company Gardens, a place that once supplied fresh fruit, vegetables and meat to passing ships, and where some of the original trees remain.Enjoy this beautiful spot with its fragrant rose plantations and plentiful bird and plant life, before stopping to admire the impressive Parliament houses.

Browse the fascinating shops in Green Market Square, then proceed down St Georges Mall Street and into the heart of downtown Cape Town.

The last stop is at the glorious Flower Market. Full of color and scent this famous market has been in operation for over 100 years.

You will then catch a City Bus and return to the V&A Waterfront where your tour ends.
