Head to where the action is! Nothing beats watching a thrilling horse race at the Singapore Turf Club. The Singapore Turf Club (STC), renowned for its horse-racing, is the oldest existing club in Singapore. It was founded by Scottish merchant William Henry Macleod Read and began as the Singapore Sporting Club on 4 October 1842. The 81.2 hectares Singapore Racecourse ranks among the premier racecourses in the world and boasts some “firsts” such as the racetrack that features a mixture of El Toro-Zoysia and local Bermuda Couch grass. It also has a glass-sided horsewalk which runs through the grandstand and connects the parade ring to the racetracks. Racing is conducted in the evenings under spectacular floodlights on Friday, and in the afternoons on Saturday and Sunday.

Itinerary

You will be picked up from your hotel in Singapore and taken in an air-conditioned coach to the Singapore Turf Club for an exciting day at the races. The tour operates on Friday evenings and in the afternoons on Saturday and Sunday. An English-speaking guide will accompany you on this tour.

Although the dress code is ‘smart casual’, you should avoid wearing tattered jeans, shorts and beach shoes.

Sit in the air-conditioned comfort of Club Level located at Level 3 of the grandstand, which offers an excellent view of the racetrack, and private betting counters. There is also a full-service bar here and you can enjoy some refreshments while watching the excitement on the racetrack (payable direct).

This tour is of a 4-hours duration and does not take in the entire race-day programme.

At the end of the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Singapore.
