Overview

Visit Poland's national shrine in the city of Czestochowa, including the icon which has drawn pilgrims from across the globe for centuries. The miraculous ‘Black Madonna’ a Gothic painting of Our Lady, housed in the monastery of Jasna Góra.On this guided, religious tour, you will also visit the Miraculous Picture Chapel and the Basilica.

Your journey back to Krakow takes you along the Eagles Nests Trail, an historic strategic system of watchtowers and castles. Take a stop over in Pieskowa Skala to visit a well-preserved Renaissance Castle along the Eagle Nests Trail. High on a cliff over the valley of the Pradnik river, this 14th century fortification was rebuilt in the 16th century as a Renaissance residence.

Proceed towards the city of Czestochowa. Arrive at the monastery of Jasna Góra where you’ll visit the chapel that houses the miraculous painting of the Black Madonna.

Next, visit the Basilica, which is the main church of the monastery.

In your free time for lunch, you can visit the 600th Anniversary Museum and Treasury on your own, or attend Mass.

On the way back, the tour bus takes the scenic route to admire the most spectacular limestone rock formations typical of the Kraków-Czestochowa Uplands.

Visit the only remaining castle of the so called Eagle Nest Trail at Pieskowa Skala.

You will be dropped back at your original point of pick-up.
