Our tips for Universal Studios Hollywood

  • Book your tickets online: Do a quick research online and check out the latest deals and discounts on offer. Booking online is always better than buying from the ticket booth and can save you both money and time.
  • Universal Express Pass: Enjoy one-time priority access to every ride, show and attraction with a Universal Express Pass. Get one if you are planning to visit during peak season. The passes are of course heavily in demand and the prices fluctuate, so make sure you buy them well in advance.
  • Arrive early: If you want to experience all the attractions with minimum waiting time, we suggest that you start the day early. Be at the park entrance 30 minutes before opening times. Sometimes the park allows all the early birds to enter when they are letting in guests with the early entry tickets. So here’s to hoping that you’re one of the lucky ones!

Good to know

Universal Studios Florida was just a movie studio when it was founded in 1915. People were invited to experience movie-making.
On the opening day, there were 20,000 people who turned up. Admission cost just 25 cents with lunch thrown in as well! The initial tour guides were filmmakers and relatives of celebrities.

John Badham, director of Saturday Night Fever and War Games, started out as a tour guide at the studio! The first stand-alone ride was introduced in 1991: The E.T. Adventure. The ride doesn’t exist anymore but can still be found in Universal Studios Florida.
