With walking breaks in between, the tour covers everything from the sweet German confection, Auszogne, hot and freshly made in front of your eyes, to a soft cheese called Obazda, to the famous-for-a-reason Weisswurst white veal sausages. You’ll also have the opportunity to visit and have a few samples at the famous Viktualienmarkt, a 200 year-old establishment dedicated to serving the best of fresh local food.

This invitingly delicious tour ends right in central Munich, leaving you satisfied and ready for the afternoon’s adventures (or a nap!).

The Lunchtime in Munich Tasting Tour starts at the Radius Tours Office in Munich Central Train Station (Hauptbahnhof, Bahnhofplatz), across from platforms 32-34. Please make your own arrangements to meet here 15 minutes before the tour is scheduled to start. The expert guide will begin the tour from here.

While walking past the historical sites in the heart of Munich, the guide will take you to sample the best of Bavarian and German food. For those who always crave salty foods, try the famous German brezel (pretzel) served with a soft local cheese and the weisswurst white veal sausage paired with sweet Bavarian mustard. Don’t worry if you have a sweet tooth: a soft yet crispy fried confection sprinkled with sugar called auszogne awaits, hot and freshly made in front of your eyes. Then, quench your thirst from all that walking as you sip your complimentary local schorle fruit drink.

The guide will also take the tour to the famous Viktualienmarkt, founded in 1807 and selling regional goods and produce ever since. Inside the historic site you’ll have the chance to sample from a platter of assorted Southern German sausages, as well as admire the city surrounding you.

The tour ends two and a half hours later in central Munich, and the guide can give directions to hotels from there.
