To join the tour please proceed your way to Republic Square 3 (The yellow kiosk of Prague Sightseeing Tours & Cityrama) for this Historical walking tour of Prague. You will be accompanied by an English-speaking guide (German, Italian, Spanish, French and Russian languages can be requested).
Your three-hour walking tour will begin at the Powder Tower and cover the most compelling sites in the historic center of the capital. All sites on the tour will only be seen from the outside.
Built on the site of an 11th century gate, the ornate Powder Tower served as the gateway to the Royal Route that once led kings to their castle.
Continue along the Royal Route to the Old Town Square, which housed the city’s central marketplace in the late 12th century, and still boasts magnificently preserved buildings and churches from that era.
The incredible astronomical clock on the Old Town Hall, where a passion play of apostles is enacted each hour and death tolls the bell, is one of Prague’s most distinctive sights.
Stroll past the small shops and early Gothic houses of Karlova Street until you reach Charles Bridge, which spans the Vltava River and is decorated by an alley of 30 statues and statuaries. From here, you are treated to a view of the resplendent Prague Castle.
Your tour concludes at the Lesser Town near to St. Nicolas Church.
