For your Danube Dinner Cruise, Vienna you will be picked up in the evening from your hotel in an air-conditioned vehicle and taken to the point where you will board your boat.
You will set off on a delightful trip on the river. On board the boat you will find a welcoming wine-tavern atmosphere. (Austria is famous for its wine taverns, which are known as ‘heurigen’.) You will be served an authentic wine-tavern buffet and the menu will include:
Starters:
Spread of gorgonzola, spread of eggs
Cured meat in gelatine with onions, horse radish and pickle
Potatoes, cucumber, green and tomato salad
Main course:
Cutlet with lemon, filled roasted mince, steamed beef and onions in gravy
Spicy grilled chicken wedges, roast potatoes, rice
Dessert:
Small apple and quark (soft cheese) strudel with vanilla sauce
Bread, butter and pastry
Drinks are not included with your meal but are available for purchase on board.
While you enjoy your meal you will be entertained by the famous Duo Zib who will present real Schrammel Music. This is the most popular form of modern Austrian folk music and is played with an accordion and a double-necked guitar.
