The full-day Phillip Island Ultimate Eco Tour begins when you are picked up from your hotel or from 570 Flinders Street, Melbourne.
Traveling in a comfortable coach with an expert driver/guide, you’ll head out to the Moonlit Sanctuary Wildlife Conservation Park, just 50 minutes from Melbourne, in the center of the Mornington Peninsula.
This award-winning Park is home to more than 200 animals of some 30 species. Residents include kangaroos and koalas as well as owls, dingoes, various reptiles, wallabies and possums. Rare and endangered animals that have bred at the center include southern bettongs, eastern quolls, Julia Creek dunnarts and squirrel gliders.
You will be able to hand-feed kangaroos and wallabies, have a photo-opportunity with a koala and learn about the conservation of these loveable animals. Lunch is included in your tour and will be provided at Moonlit Sanctuary.
Later in the day you will cross over the bridge to Phillip Island and stop at Pannys Phillip Island Chocolate Factory. Here you can enjoy a celebration of all things chocolate and some of Pannys exclusive treats before traveling on to historic Churchill Island.
If time permits, you’ll stop at stunning Cape Woolamai surf beach and visit The Nobbies, a magnificent headland with views to the far horizon. Close by are the Seal Rocks, which boast Australia’s largest fur seal colony.
Your last stop is at Summerland beach, home to Victoria’s largest colony of Little Penguins. Each night these endearing birds – the world’s smallest penguins – toddle ashore to the safety of their homes in the dunes after their daily fishing expedition. The sunset Penguin Parade is one of Australia’s most popular attractions. This experience is sure to be the highlight of your visit.
At the end of the full-day tour, you will be dropped back at your hotel in Melbourne or at 570 Flinders Street.
