Visit a renowned winery and enjoy tasting some of the Peninsula’s finest wines. In summer spend some time in the famous strawberry fields of Sunny Ridge strawberry farm. In winter, refresh mind and body with a dip at the Peninsula Hot Springs.

Feast your eyes on the glories of the woodland gardens at Ashcombe and search for gnome treasure in the Hedge Maze, Australia’s oldest and largest maze. See (and smell) the lovely Lavender Labyrinth.

Itinerary

The Mornington Peninsula Ultimate Tour is a treat that begins when you are picked up from your hotel or from 570 Flinders Street.

Traveling in a comfortable coach you will head out to Mornington Peninsula. Along the way to the Peninsula marvel at the spectacular bay views, stroll along the beach and be impressed by the luxury cliff top residences and famous bathing boxes in the seaside resort township of Portsea.

Explore Point Nepean National Park. It lies on the far west of the Mornington Peninsula and showcases spectacular scenery and magnificent views of the Bass Strait. The area has a rich human history dating back 40,000 years.

Enjoy wine tasting at Mantons Creek Winery, one of the top wineries in the area and have a light lunch at the Cups Estate Winery.

In summer (November to April), the tour visits Sunny Ridge strawberry farm where you can have fun picking your own fruit!

In winter, instead of strawberry picking, you will enjoy a visit to the Peninsula Hot Springs at Rye, where you can luxuriate in relaxing thermal pools.

Summer or winter, the tour visits lovely Ashcombe where there are 25 acres of unique mazes and woodlands.

Explore the famous Hedge Maze - over 3 meters high and 2 meters thick. Long, meandering paths lead you through the two halves of the maze and the challenge is to find mosaic flags secreted along the way.

You can also wander in the fragrant Lavender Labyrinth where more than 4000 lavender plants create a stunning spectacle. Careful plant selection and garden design ensures a garden that has lavender in flower for 12 months of the year.

The tour also makes a stop at Arthur’s Seat viewpoint. From this 304 meter granite hill you can see breathtaking views of Port Phillip Bay, golden beaches, the Mornington and Bellarine Peninsulas and Melbourne’s skyline in the distance.

At the end of the excursion, you will be dropped back at your hotel in Melbourne or at 570 Flinders Street.
