Overview

The tour begins with a transfer from Warsaw to Torun, the best example of a medieval gothic town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Sitting on the banks of the Vistula River, Torun has an original historic centre and is also the birthplace of great Polish astronomer Nicolaus Copernicus, the great founder of modern astronomy.

Stroll through the Old Town, and admire the impressive monuments and medieval walls, before visiting the Nicolaus Copernicus' House, a replica of the scientist's original home, where you can review his life and work.

Next, visit the St. Johns' Cathedral Cathedral, a beautiful gothic cathedral where you can admire the main altar and its impressive vaults. At the top of the western tower, you can find the third-largest bell tower in Poland that offers splendid views over the city.

Afterwards, you will have free time to explore the city on your own. Why not browse for souvenirs or try Torun's famous gingerbread - a speciality baked according to old recipes and methods dating back to the 16th century.
