This is not just a sightseeing tour, it’s a trip! Board the brightly coloured Magic Bus at 280 Geary St San Francisco, CA 94108. Sing along to some great tunes by the likes of Janis Joplin to get you in the perfect mood. Your hippie guide will be sure to keep you entertained throughout your journey.
Travel back in time to Chinatown where eastern philosophies first adopted by San Franciscans spread through America in the 1960s.
Visit North Beach, where you will see the famous City Lights bookstore. Frequented by the likes of Jack Kerouac this is where many famous Beat-generation poems were first published.
As your magic bus rolls up and down the hills of San Fran to the sound of the best tunes of the era, spewing out bubbles in its wake, you will experience the city the way it was back in the day via video and audio clips. You can also reflect on how things have changed from the days of peace and love as you drive through the Financial District and central Market Street on your way to the crossroads of the Summer of Love.
After Haight and Ashbury you will learn the meaning of flower power as your visit the lush gardens of Golden Gate Park and stop at Conservatory of Flowers. Hear about the first Human Be-In event and the first ever Earth Day, celebrated annually ever since. You can even join a drum circle if you wish!
Finally your trippy bus will take you back to the starting point and you are free to spend the rest of the day as you please.
