For a fun and spooky evening on the water take the Seadog Haunted Chicago Cruise. There is no hotel pick-up for this cruise, which starts from Navy Pier, where there is ample parking. Details of how to reach Navy Pier are given in Additional Information.
To receive your boarding pass please present your voucher and photo ID at the activity operator’s ticket kiosk at Navy Pier. Boarding begins 30 minutes before departure time.
Food and drink can be brought on board, but remember – it is hard to eat while the boat is going fast! Be prepared to be splashed – Seadog is an open-air speedboat. If conditions are windy and the lake has a chop, there is a good chance you might get wet. It’s all part of the fun!
The Seadog Haunted Chicago Cruise will be operating from the beginning of October through Halloween. Kids are welcome to come in costume.
A character in ghostly garb will lead the 75-minute tour. Chicago has the reputation of being one of the most haunted cities in the world, perhaps because of its colorful but disturbingly dark and violent past. The live narration highlights interesting supernatural and odd occurrences that have taken place in Chicago since the city's early days.
The cruise departs from Navy Pier, cruising through the Locks, up the River and back out to Lake Michigan.
Creepy tales you will hear include:
• Curse of Captain Jack Kaplan
• Haunted Hancock Building
• Eastland Disaster
• Fort Dearborn Massacre
• Pioneer John Kinzie's Curse
• Samuel Insull's Ghost
Your scary 75-minute trip ends back at the starting point at Navy Pier.
