On this Hop-On Hop-Off tour, you have the freedom to plan your own sightseeing itinerary. With twenty stops covering all of Cambridge's main attractions such as Cambridge University, Downing Street Museums and the Roman Catholic Church, this tour provides the perfect introduction to the city.
Your ticket is valid for 24 hours from when you first board one of the buses. Buses run from 1000h (10:00am) to 1746h (05:46pm) every 20 minutes. Your ticket allows you unlimited use, meaning you can hop-on and hop-off as many times as you like at any of the designated stops!
You can board the bus from any of the stops:
• Silver Street, Eastbound: The street is home to Queen’s College and St Catherine’s College.
• Downing Street: Stop here to see the Downing Street museums including the The Imperial War Museum and the Museum of Zoology.
• St. Andrew’s Street: You can see the Emmanuel College.
• Chesterton Road: From here, you can join one of the cruises on the River Cam.
• Bridge Street: The street is home to the Round Church, Historic City Centre and St John’s College.
• Trinity Street (Sundays only) : You can see the Gonville & Caius College and the Trinity College.
• Market Street (Sundays only) : The street houses the Market Square and The Eagle Pub. You can also see King’s College Chapel and the Great St Mary’s Church.
• Jesus Lane: See the Jesus College and Midsummer Common, home to a number of bars and restaurants.
• Short Street: The street is known for The Grafton, an important shopping centre, and Christ’s Pieces, the bowling green which is host to the city of Cambridge Bowls Club.
• Emmanuel Street: The bus station is located here.
• Parkside: See the Parker’s Piece, Anglia Ruskin University and The Grafton. Also visit the Parkside, which is also a popular stop for shops and entertainment.
• Hills Road: See the Roman Catholic Church and the Scott Polar Research Institute.
• Railway Station
• Trumpington Road: There are two stops on this road. At the first stop, you can see The Leys School, Cambridge University Botanic Garden and Hobson’s Conduit. At the second stop, see the Fitzwilliam Museum and the Judge Institute.
• Silver Street, Westbound: See the Mathematical Bridge and walk along the River Cam.
• Queens Road: The road is famous for the Kettles Yard Art Gallery and Cambridge Folk Museum.
• Coton Orchard: This has the Garden Centre and a coffee shop. (Please check for opening times)
• Madingley American Military Memorial: This is a WWII Cemetery and Military Memorial.
• Madingley Road Park & Ride: This park is a must visit for the kids.
• Grange Road: You can see the University Library and Robinson College.
