Itinerary

This river tour is an ideal way to catch your breath in the midst of your hectic touring schedule.

Leave the city as you take a relaxing cruise down the Mae Ping River and watch the ever changing scenery drift by. The boat will drift serenely down the river passing beautiful teak houses and verdant greenery. The boat will stop at a local Thai farmer’s house where you can admire the riverside garden with its growth of jasmine rice and a variety of herbs that is used in Thai cooking and also for medicinal purposes.

Visit the Chiang Mai Wat Phra Singh Temple, which is probably the most famous of all the Wat Phra temples in Thailand. The temple houses a significant Buddha image of the Thai Lanna people for many years.

The Wat Chedi Luang completed in 1481 was the highest structure in Chiang Mai for over 500 years and thousands of devotees throng its premises on major Buddhist festival days. The Emerald Buddha was originally housed here for over 80 years. The statue is now stands in the Wat Prakeaw in Bangkok.
