  • Kids of all ages love the interactive stuff at the Science Museum!
  • A ′must see′ for architecture buffs

Adults and children alike love visiting the fascinating City of Arts and Sciences, one of Valencia’s top attractions.

Within the complex you will find the El Museo de la Ciencias Príncipe Felipe (the Príncipe Felipe Science Museum) which holds permanent and travelling thematic exhibitions related to the world of science and avant-garde technology. The intriguingly designed Museum is shaped like a dinosaur's skeleton and surrounded by light blue pools of water.

Another popular feature in the City is L'Oceanografic (the Oceanographic Park). This spectacular marine life center is the largest in Europe and will cleverly 'transport' you across seas and oceans from the Arctic to the Antarctic without leaving Valencia!

Itinerary

For your Valencia – Science Museum and L'Oceanografic experience you should make your way to the entrance of the Príncipe Felipe Science Museum within the City of Arts and Sciences to change your voucher for the entrance ticket.

Inside the futuristic City of Arts and Sciences complex all kinds of thrills await you.

Architecture buffs love the Príncipe Felipe Science Museum, a cleverly designed building based on a dinosaur skeleton. Curious kids love what goes on inside, where there are all sorts of hands-on experiences that bring science to life. Expect soaring platforms filled with lasers, holograms, simulators, and hands-on lab experiments. Through the range of workshops, activities and interactive panels, you can have fun discovering the principles of science and technology, and how they contribute to improving the quality of life.

At the L'Oceanografic (Oceanographic Park) you can travel round the main seas and oceans of the planet from the Arctic to the Antarctic. More than 45,000 examples of 500 different marine species – including sharks, Beluga whales, walruses, sea lions, penguins and manta rays – inhabit nine underwater towers containing the most important aquatic ecosystems of the planet. As you explore the Park, you will pass through the tropical latitudes of the Atlantic, Pacific and Indian Oceans, as well as the Mediterranean Sea. You can also take a submarine ride through a coastal marine habitat.

You will get a closer view of the marine world and learn about the biodiversity and fragility of the ocean’s ecosystems. It is also possible to enjoy a dolphin show (depending on the time of visit) as the Park also contains Europe's largest Dolphinarium.

The ticket is valid for the entire day so you can choose to come and go as you please. At the end of the day you must make your own arrangements to return to your accommodation.
