In the morning, you will travel to Toledo, one of the oldest towns in Europe. Toledo has a great artistic beauty with buildings from almost every period in history (Arabian, Gothic, Mudeiar, Renaissance and Baroque style). Toledo is called the “City of Three Cultures”, since Christians, Muslims, and Jews have shared the city for hundreds of years.

In the afternoon, you will travel to Aranjuez, the Royal Site of the Crown of Spain. Situated in a fertile valley on the banks of the River Tagus, Aranjuez is known for its Royal Palace and numerous gardens. Here you will explore the grounds and the Museum of Royal Feluccas.

Itinerary

Meet your guide and coach at Plaza Espana to begin your trip to Toledo and Aranjuez.

Your first stop for the day is the World Heritage city of Toledo. You will take an orientation tour of the city which will cover many of the artistic styles such as "Mudejar" Gothic, and Renaissance for which the city is known. Highlights of this tour will be the Cathedral, the Church of St. Tomé, Synagogue of Sta. María, the Museum of Victorio Macho, the Monastery of San Juan de los Reyes, panoramic sightseeing of Toledo, and much more.

After Toledo, the tour will travel to Aranjuez, the Royal Site of the Crown of Spain. Your time here starts with a visit to the incredible Royal Palace. You will visit Elizabeth II’s throne room and the Prince’s Gardens.

You will also visit the Museum of Royal Feluccas (a type of long and narrow light boats, used in ports and rivers) which was built in 1963 and exhibits the boats used by the royal family to navigate the Tagus river.

After the tour is over, you will be taken back to Madrid.
