  • Overview & Itinerary


    This tour will show you the most famous attractions of France. See the Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, the famous Bayeux Tapestry in Bayeux and the beaches of Normandy where the famous D-Day landings took place.

    This tour will also take you to the picturesque Loire Valley where you will have the opportunity to taste wine and see some beautiful chateaux. This tour is an excellent way to experience the beauty and diversity of France. Don’t miss it.


    Day 1: Arrive Paris

    You will be picked up from the airport and will be taken in an air-conditioned coach to hotel Evergreen Laurel, a four start hotel located in the heart of the city. The hotel has 338 rooms that are decorated using an aesthetic blend of Asian and European styles. The air-conditioned rooms have wi-fi internet and a mini bar among other facilities. The hotel has a multi-cuisine restaurant and a fitness centre among other facilities.

    Enjoy a welcome drink with your tour director in the evening.

    Spend the night at the hotel.

    Day 2: Paris - Rouen - Bayeux

    After a buffet breakfast, go on a sightseeing tour accompanied by a local English-speaking guide. You will see:

    Champs Elysées: This is Paris’ most fashionable boulevard.

    Notre Dame Cathedral: This is an imposing Gothic style cathedral where Napoleon crowned himself as the emperor. It is notable for its impressive architecture and elegant interiors.

    Arc de Triomphe: This is one of the most famous monuments in Paris and stands at the western end of the Champs-Élysées. The Arc de Triomphe is engraved with the names of generals who commanded French troops during Napoleon's regime.

    Then see the Eiffel Tower and ascend to the second level for panoramic views of the river and the city.

    You will then drive to Montmartre where you will take the funicular to the Place du Tertre for a walking tour of the area in the shadow of the Sacre Coeur Basilica. This Roman Catholic basilica is dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and a very famous landmark of Paris.

    Afterwards, you will be driven to Rouen where Joan of Arc was burnt at the stake.

    Continue on your way to Honfleur and on to Bayeux. Check into hotel Novotel Bayeux for the night. This 3 star hotel is located near the famous Bayeux Tapestry and the historic town centre. The hotel has 77 air-conditioned rooms, a bar and a multi-cuisine restaurant and an outdoor pool.

    Enjoy dinner at the hotel and spend the night there.

    Day 3: Bayeux - D-Day Landing Beaches - Mont St. Michel

    After a buffet breakfast, you will visit the Tapestry Museum where the tapestry depicts the Battle of Hastings in 1066, the event which radically changed the history of both France and England for centuries.

    Then you will visit the D-Day Landing Beaches of the 1944 campaign and the Omaha Military cemetery in Normandy. Continue to Mont St Michel where you will visit the Benedictine Abbey. The first simple structure was built in the 8th century by the Bishop of Avranches and was subsequently expanded and enhanced with the addition of Romanesque and Gothic buildings.

    Check into hotel Le Relais du Roy, a charming hotel which has a mediaeval setting. The hotel has 27 comfortably-furnished rooms with all modern amenities, a bar and restaurant.

    Enjoy dinner and spend the night at the hotel.

    Day 4: Mont St. Michel - Loire Valley - Amboise (2 nights)

    After a buffet breakfast, travel to Angers via Chateau Gontier, then into the Loire Valley renowned for its chateaux and wines, which you will sample in Saumur before continuing to Amboise.

    Check into hotel Novotel Amboise which is located in the heart of the Loire Valley. The hotel has 121 air-conditioned rooms, a bar and restaurant and a swimming pool and offers splendid views of the Loire Valley.

    Spend the night at the hotel.

    Day 5: Châteaux Excursion

    After a buffet breakfast, accompanied by a local guide visit the fairytale Chenonceau, Catherine de Medici's chateau. As the Regent of France, Catherine threw lavish parties in this chateau, and the first-ever fireworks display in France took place here.

    Continue to Chambord to view the largest chateau in the region. This chateau blends traditional French medieval forms with classic Italian structures and once served as the hunting lodge for King Francois I.

    Return to Amboise where you will visit the chateau where Leonardo da Vinci, the greatest figure of the Renaissance, spent the last years of his life and died.

    Return to the hotel. You have the rest of the day at leisure.

    Day 6: Amboise - Chartres - Paris

    After a buffet breakfast, travel to Chartres to visit the Cathedral. It is considered one of the finest examples of the Gothic style of architecture. Marvel at the beautiful stained glass rose window and the delicate carvings.

    Continue to the Palace of Fontainebleau originally designed as a royal hunting lodge but which became one of the grandest of the royal country residences, particularly known for its magnificent gardens.

    Continue to Paris and check into hotel Renaissance La Defense, a Marriott property. The hotel has 324 air-conditioned rooms with all modern amenities, 3 suites, a bar, a club lounge and two restaurants that serve French and international cuisine.

    Spend the night at the hotel.

    Day 7: Paris at leisure

    After breakfast, you have the day at leisure to explore Paris. You may visit the Louvre Museum which is home to the famous Mona Lisa, or enjoy a cruise on the river Seine.

    Later enjoy a celebratory farewell dinner together with your tour director.

    Day 8: Depart Paris

    After a buffet breakfast, you will be taken to the Charles de Gaulle airport to board your return flight home.
