You will be picked up from your inner city accommodation in Auckland by your English speaking driver guide and taken in an air-conditioned vehicle to the city’s largest regional park, the Waitakere Ranges.
Visit the Arataki Visitors Centre, on the ridge of the Waitakere Ranges on the Scenic Drive. Enjoy a panoramic view of the Tasman Sea and the Pacific Ocean from here. The centre also has some impressive Maori carvings which are a must see.
Continue to the rainforest of Waitakere and walk along easy bush tracks amongst giant ferns. You will also see New Zealand’s famous Kauri trees.
