Set in a picturesque basin surrounded by wooded hills, the city is home to magnificent monuments such as the Heian Shrine, Sanjusangendo Temple and the hugely popular Kiyomizu Temple, which was originally built in eight century. Although now a modern city of 1.5 million inhabitants, Kyoto remains a centre of traditional Japanese art and crafts, culture and cuisine.

After pick up from your hotel in Kyoto, you will be transferred by bus to visit famous Japanese shrine and temples. On this 4-hour trip, you will visit:

Heian Shrine: Heian Shrine, which is dedicated to Emperor Kammu and Emperor Komei, the 121st emperor of Japan.

Sanjusangendo Temple: The temple name literally means “Hall with thirty three spaces between columns”, describing the architecture of the long main hall of the temple.

Kiyomizu Temple: Its main hall is built out onto pillars. The effect is that of a deck reaching out from the foot of the mountain. The original Kiyomizu Temple dates from the eighth century.

After the visits, you will be drop off to your hotel.
