Overview

The Golden Circle is Iceland’s number 1 tour and a must do when in Reykjavik.

You will be taken on a 300km round trip which showcases the power and beauty of Iceland’s natural environment. Enjoy the opportunity to visit an active Geysir, experience the ferocity of the Gulfoss waterfall and visit Þingvellir National Park which is steeped in both history and beauty.

This version of the Golden Circle tour includes entrance to the idyllic Friðheimar greenhouse cultivation centre, where you can explore the warm and bright greenhouses and see varieties of cucumbers and tomatoes.

Visit the Friðheimar Greenhouse Cultivation Centre and learn about the magic behind growing delicious, pesticide-free tomatoes and cucumbers with the aid of the geothermal heat that Iceland has in abundance. The next stop is the Geysir hot spring area where you can walk around the world-famous Geysir area, a geothermal field where hot springs are in abundance, geysers explode and pools of mud bubble. The Strokkur geysir shoots a column of water up to 30 meters (98 ft.) into the air every 4-8 minutes in a thrilling display of nature’s forces.

Experience the magnificent beauty of the Gullfoss waterfall, the queen of Iceland's waterfalls, tumbling down a deep gorge. Spend time in the picturesque Þingvellir National Park, the location of the most historic events in Iceland. Þingvellir is the original site of the oldest existing parliament in the world, the Alþingi. The Great Atlantic rift is clearly visible, a rift which is slowly pulling Iceland apart along tectonic plates.
