The Blue Lagoon is one of Iceland’s most popular attractions. Set in a spectacular landscape of black basalt, the Lagoon has warm milky-turquoise waters rich in healing minerals.

Fed by a geothermal source, the Lagoon water is an inviting 35-40°C. Soak yourself in the silky water and breathe in the pristine Icelandic air. Rejuvenate your skin with a slathering of the silica-rich white mud.

With a choice of six departure times from Reykjavik to the Lagoon and again from the Lagoon back to Reykjavik, you can plan your day just the way you want it.

Note: The Blue Lagoon will be closed for construction from 05th to 21st Jan 2016. Restaurants & shops will also be closed during this period.

Itinerary

Enjoy one of Iceland’s most popular attractions the easy way with the Blue Lagoon Direct transfer service.

The Blue Lagoon is a unique spa located in a lava field in west Iceland. A combination of silica, geothermally-heated sea water and algae gives the lagoon a lovely milky-blue color. The warm water comes from the nearby geothermal power plant of Svartsengi and averages a pleasant 40°C (104°F). It is rich in minerals and bathing in the Blue Lagoon is said to alleviate skin conditions such as psoriasis.

The spa's state-of-the-art facilities include modern changing rooms and showers, and an indoor pool. A geothermal beach, lava caves and silica mud are also a part of the lagoon area.

In addition to bathing in the blue-green water, you can enjoy walking in the Lagoon’s spectacular surroundings, relax in a geothermal steam bath or release the stress from your shoulders under a waterfall.

For a blissful experience, indulge yourself with an outdoor massage or one of the spa treatments available. On site there is also an excellent restaurant with an a la carte menu and a Blue Lagoon shop selling skin care products based on a unique blend of Blue Lagoon geothermal seawater active ingredients – minerals, silica, and algae.

Many people who visit the Blue Lagoon choose not to bathe and to simply enjoy the spectacular surroundings. For this reason, to offer the best value to all our customers, we do not include the entrance fee in the tour price.

At the end of the trip you will be dropped off at your hotel in Reykjavik.
