At 210-meter (689 ft) tall, soaring Montparnasse Tower is the tallest office building in France. The 56th floor, with a restaurant (360° Café), and the terrace on the top floor, are open to the public. And, unlike that other famous viewpoint, the Eiffel Tower, you don't get long queues!
In just 38 seconds, Europe's fastest elevator will whizz you up to the 56th floor, at a height of 196 meters (over 640 ft). From the comfort of the observation floor, you can see stupendous views of the city in all directions. On a clear day you see as far as 40 km (24 miles) and watch aircraft taking off from Orly Airport.
Looking down, you can make out all Paris's landmarks and major attractions, including the Eiffel Tower, Les Invalides, Sacré Coeur, Musée d'Orsay, the Arc de Triomphe, the Panthéon, the Louvre and the Luxembourg garden.
The observatory is equipped with state-of-the-art audiovisual and interactive facilities to help you interpret the views of the city below. These include binoculars, exhibitions, quizzes, interactive facilities, film, viewpoint tables and more.
Your ticket entitles you to a glass of fine quality champagne (or other drink of your choice), plus delicious nibbles, in the 360° Café. What could be more romantic than sipping champagne as you watch the sun set over one of the world's most beautiful cities?
For even more breath-taking panoramas, step outside onto the outdoor observation deck, accessible from the 59th floor through a flight of stairs.
Here, 210 meters (689 feet) above the streets, you get a different viewing experience. The city is spread out before you, swarming with life. By using viewpoint indicators, you can locate and see each of the Parisian districts and their monuments.
You can stay as long as you like at the 56th and 59th floor viewing facilities.
Your visit ends at the Montparnasse Tower.
