You will be picked up from your hotel in Paris in an air conditioned minivan accompanied by a guide for your Paris Sightseeing tour.
The first part of the tour is an orientation drive around the city. See the grand Madeleine Church which offers a pretty view of the Place de la Concorde, just down the Rue Royale. Proceed past the Paris Opera – the most important opera house in Paris and an extremely beautiful building of immense architectural value. See Vendôme Square, a royal square built to honour King Louis XIV.
Drive down the Champs-Élysées, that has been called La plus belle avenue du monde (The most beautiful avenue in the world). It runs for 2 kilometres, from the Place de la Concorde in the east, with its obelisk, to the Place Charles de Gaulle (formerly the Place de l'Étoile) in the west, where the Arc de Triomphe is located.
You will stop to take some photos at the Eiffel Tower before the tour takes you on past Les Invalides which consists of a complex of buildings containing museums and monuments, all relating to France's military history. Also see the Louvre Museum that houses the famed Mona Lisa.
Continue to the Notre Dame Cathedral – considered to be one of the finest examples of French Gothic architecture. Stop here for around 30 minutes to explore on your own.
The second part of the tour takes you to Montmartre – a hill in the north of Paris. You will have around 30 minutes here to explore. You could visit the famous Sacré-Cœur Basilica, the highest point in the city or simply wander around the Place du Tertre, where many artists set up their easels each day for the tourists. Many penniless painters including Picasso and Utrillo lived here once. Another attraction of the area is the Moulin de la Galette - a windmill situated near the top of the district of Montmartre. It has been depicted by artists such as Renoir, Van Gogh, and Picasso.
At the end of the tour you will be returned to your hotel in Paris.
