• Promenade – Etats Unis: This beautiful promenade is surrounded by many good restaurants serving typical French cuisine, markets and many pubs.
• Port – Quai Lunel: The seafront is ideal for a leisurely walk.
• Mont Boron – Miramar: It is the best vantage point to enjoy views of the beautiful city of Nice.
• Croisieres – Bleu Rivage
• Place Garibaldi: Place Garibaldi is a crossroad between the old town and the town centre. The place is named after the hero of Italian unification, Giuseppe Garibaldi. It stands out for its history and architecture.
• Acropolis – Barla: It is home to Congress and Exhibition Centre. To the south of the Acropolis in the Risso boulevard is the Barla Museum home to a huge collection dealing with fungi, biological evolution, geology and mineralogy among others.
• Cimiez – Monastery: This is a plush residential neighbourhood located around a hill in the north-east of Nice. The hill is also home to the Franciscan Monastery known for its lovely gardens and pergolas, filled fruit trees, flowers, and a small, thick wooded area. Queen Victoria’s Winter Palace and the Roman ruins are also situated in this beautiful Mediterranean garden.
• Chagall Museum: The museum has 17 large canvases depicting biblical scenes and themes from the Old Testament in bright, joyous colors. You will notice a harmony between the museum building and its collection. The rooms are white-washed and cool with large windows providing a perfect backdrop of outdoor greenery to the bright pinks and reds of the canvases. Interestingly, the painter himself designed a stained-glass window for the museum and contributed a mosaic.
• Massena – Verdun: Situated at the heart of Nice, the area has plenty of shops and restaurants. You can visit Avenue Jean Médecin with its big stores and shopping center Nice Etoile, just a few minutes away on foot.
• Meyerbeer – Promenade des Anglais: This promenade gracefully follows the majestic curve of the Baie des Anges; it was originally a 2-metre wide pathway. Built in 1860 by the English Reverend Lewis Way, it was officially opened in 1931. Lined with cafes and hotels, both modern and Belle Epoque, museums and posh apartments, the Promenade des Anglais is a long wide road which runs the length of the seafront at Nice.
