Spend a whole day exploring the splendid terroir of Pessac-Leognan, the historical birthplace of the Bordeaux vineyard. The prestigious Grands Crus Classés have been earning accolades for their fine red and white wines since 1953.

This tour offers you a wonderful opportunity to taste these wines with lunch at the château followed by tour of Château de La Brède owned by the famous philosopher and winegrower Montesquieu.

Itinerary

There is no hotel pick-up. Arrive at the Tourist Information Centre, 12 cours du XXX Juillet 33080, Bordeaux Cedex. Your bilingual (English and French) guide will meet you here. Board an air-conditioned coach and set out for a sightseeing tour of the Grands Crus Classés de Graves.

Here is a time-wise break-up of your itinerary:

1000h (10:00am) : Tour and tasting at a wine château*.

1145h (11:45am): Tour, tasting and lunch at a 2nd wine château*.

1530h (3:30pm): Tour of Château de La Brède, owned by the famous philosopher and winegrower Montesquieu.

1730h (5:30pm): Return to Bordeaux

(*Please Note: Wine tasting will be at one of the following locations:
Château Bouscaut, Château Carbonnieux, Domaine de Chevalier, Château Couhins-Lurton, Château Haut-Bailly, Château Latour-Martillac, Château Malartic-Lagravière, Château Olivier, Château Pape Clément, Château Smith Haut Lafitte.)
