The exciting Santa Claus Family Safari starts at Koskikatu 1, 96200 Rovaniemi. Board your vehicle and set out with your bilingual guide (English and Finnish speaking).
Your first stop will be at a reindeer farm. The Sami (Laps) have practiced reindeer herding since the 17th century and use the deer for food, clothing, trade and transport.
Enjoy a reindeer sleigh ride and take part in a ceremony to celebrate crossing the Arctic Circle. This is the line of latitude north of which the sun does not rise on the winter solstice, or set on the summer solstice.
At the farm you can also try the thrill of snowmobiling. For children there are miniskidoos and adults can use full-size skidoos.
The farm visit is followed by lunch, with a range of options, including vegetarian dishes.
After lunch you will visit Santa Claus Village with its handicraft shops and Santa's Post Office, where you can send mail using Santa's own stamps.
As the high point of the tour you'll meet that well-loved character Santa Claus and find out how he manages his huge work-load.
The tour ends at the starting point.
