First leg of the journey takes you to the border town of Jedburgh, a historic burgh dominated by an incredible 12thcentury Augustinian Abbey. Once you arrive in Jedburgh, take some time to enjoy a short walk through the narrow streets and explore this remarkable ruin. Continue south till you reach the picturesque Carter Bar on Cheviot Hills. This crossing point between Scotland and England runs close to the ancient Roman road and has formed the border between the two countries for the past 700 years!
Head next to the glorious forests of Northumberland National Park which finally opens up to Hadrian’s Wall. Enjoy walking beside the wall and experience a tour through time as you walk in the same steps as Roman foot soldiers!
